Former Tabung Haji subsidiary CEO charged with five counts of CBT [VIDEO]


KUALA LUMPUR: The former chief executive officer of a Tabung Haji subsidiary company was charged at the Sessions Court here today with five counts of committing criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM2.57 million four years ago. Datuk Nor Badli Munawir Mohamad Alias Lafti is accused of committing the offence while he was entrusted with cheques for THHE Fabricators Sdn Bhd. Badli, who is currently a director at several investment holding companies, allegedly committed the offence with five cheques amounting to RM400,000, RM570,000, RM430,000, RM600,000, and RM575,800. The offence was allegedly committed at Level 23, Tower B, Menara UOA Bangsar, No 5, Jalan Bangsar Utama 1, between April and Sept 2013. He was charged under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum 20 years' imprisonment, whipping, and a fine upon conviction.
