Gayatri Devi, wife of renowned actor Raaj Kumar dies after battling illness for a period, she departed peacefully, with her children providing close care during her ailment. During 60s, Raaj Kumar married Jennifer Pandit, an Anglo-Indian woman whom he reportedly met during a flight where she served as an air hostess. It is noted that she later adopted the name Gayatri Kumar in accordance with Hindu customs. With over 70 Hindi films to his credit, Raaj Kumar became a prominent figure in Bollywood. Raaj Kumar passed away at 69 due to throat cancer on July 3, 1996.
