Ovation of the Seas, which carries more than 5800 people, had been sailing for two weeks and arrived in Tasmania on Tuesday after a trip to Singapore. "Outbreaks of highly infectious conditions such as gastro and respiratory illness can occur in cruise ships, where a population the size of a medium-sized town mixes closely together," he said. Ovation of the Seas was scheduled to leave Tasmania yesterday afternoon.
