The Waikato Mongrel Mob staged an event where politicians, councillors and others were invited to hear speakers talk about the gang. OPINION: If the festering sore of gangs in New Zealand society was not such a serious and dangerous issue their latest charm offensive would be laughable. However harrowing evidence from women in gang households tell the true story of tragedy, violence, abuse and neglect. There are also some suggestions that gang member aggression can be traced to a genetically inherited Maori warrior gene. We will do doubt see, as another festive holiday season unfolds another flood of gang related crime for police to solve.
