Plenty has been said about Liverpool's 99th-minute winner against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon. The referee stopped play when Forest had the ball but did not return possession to Nuno Espirito Santo's side upon restarting the game. Gary Neville felt the reaction has been overblown, whilst the complete opposite view is clear from Forest, latest appointment Mark Clattenberg, and their owner. The two moments were separated by almost two minutes, in which time Forest could have scored a goal of their own. It is hardly much different to wrongly awarding a throw-in two minutes before a goal goes in.
