A row between Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua and Nyeri MCAs took a new twist on Wednesday after the governor stopped a Sh75 million MCAs’ health club project. The Nyeri county assembly Health Club would come with a gym, steam bath, massage parlour, swimming and sauna. A section of MCAs have opposed the the building of the health club. The plan of stopping the health club project comes a week after the governor stopped some local Kenya Rural Roads Authority road projects after he alleged some MCAs had interest in the contracts. The irked governor also laughed off the plans by MCAs to impeach him next week saying he will fight it inside and outside the county assembly.
