Most of the high-end shopping outlets had updated their accounting systems but a handful still seemed unsure. At H&M and Zara outlets, the new bills had GST columns but the rates were yet to be revised. Many restaurants had, however, streamlined the system, with only GST reflecting on their bills, instead of a plethora of taxes piled up earlier. This would make it easier for patrons to figure out the exact cost.With the billing system not in place at many outlets, handwritten bills were being handed out. The managers said they were still putting their billing system in place.
