If inflation remains high and interest rates rise, the economy will be a major factor. If the nation goes into a recession, it will be the issue on the minds of most voters. Inflation will likely moderate by then; if so, the economy won’t be a major issue. All the turmoil involving Russia and Roe v. Wade will probably take center stage. It’s hard to say how the economy will play with voters at this point.
