The NDC had wanted the EC to decentralize the exercise up to the electoral area levels instead of just the 260 districts offices. The NDC’s Director of Elections, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, told Citi News the EC’s latest announcement in itself is not sufficient enough. “They have not told us which other areas they are going to include apart from the 260 district registration centres.”“There is no transparency and the communication is not clear. The registration exercise is to take place between Friday, June 7 and Thursday, June 27 2019.
