Environment Canada has issued a funnel cloud advisory for a large section of west-central Saskatchewan. The national weather service says funnel clouds could be created as a low pressure system moves in from Alberta. The advisory has been issued for Lloydminster, the Battlefords, Kindersley, Biggar, Prince Albert and Spiritwood. Environment Canada says these types of funnel clouds are created by weak rotation under growing clouds or thunderstorms, but the rotation can intensify and become a landspout tornado. Anyone who sees a funnel cloud is asked to take shelter immediately.
