In the senior men’s category, defending champion Nedbank RC athlete, Oyama Ntantiso, was the first runner home after a tough battle with Motherwell AC athlete, Sibusiso Colepi, with individual athlete Mihlali Mabuya being third. In the junior males, Youth for Change AC athlete, Avela Qutu, defended his title while Motherwell AC runners, Lutho Magaxa and Hlomla Ncumani, finished in second and third place respectively. In the junior females, Vulumzi SSS Siyamthanda Nqam defended her title. Motherwell AC runner, Liyema Gulwa, and her club mate, Ivana Morgan, were second and third runners respectively. Event sponsor EnviroServ’s community liaison officer, Zingisa Mabangula, stated that she was very proud to see youths and adults taking part in the fun run.
