For 30 years Shirley and Owen Coppage dreamt of making their holiday destination, Wanaka, their home. Her plan was to make all of the spaces in the house feel intentional, functional and welcoming. The large property has a cluster of buildings, including Shirley's garden workshop, an office and wine room, and a guest house. Shirley spends a lot of time in the garden these days, with Owen as her official garden assistant when he is at home. They're enjoying the results of their journey, which elicits a sigh of contentment as they head up the driveway: "It's a forever home, filled with good wine, good food and good company."
