The outer walls at the Arignar Anna Government Higher Secondary School in Besant Nagar wear a vibrant look, thanks to volunteers of Amaara Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that has been conducting life-skills classes for students of the school. “Visiting every house in the neighbourhood, we spoke to the residents about our initiative and invited them to join us. We are happy that many people from the neighbourhood joined hands with us,” says Ashwin Sridhar, head of operations, Amaara Foundation Chennai.
