The Korean Jinju City Agricultural Ministry recently promoted the region’s produce at Isetan in Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. Throughout the campaign, an abundance of fresh imported items such as pear, strawberry, persimmon, melon, yam, chestnut, pumpkin and cucumber were introduced to local consumers. “We want to use this opportunity to enhance the interest of Malaysian consumers in our agricultural products,” said Jinju City deputy mayor Jung Jaemin. “We take pride in our contribution towards the development of Korean agricultural industry.”He said strawberries from Jinju accounted for 75% of South Korea’s total strawberry exports.
