It's a cold start to the day in the South, with temperatures as low as -4degC in some places. The Dunedin City Council advises of areas of isolated frost around the city, and says ''great care'' is required when driving. The Queenstown Lakes District Council says conditions are ''extreme'' on roads in the area, and is urging motorists to take extra care.
