Dannevirke family trying to bring mugging victim home

A Dannevirke family are desperately trying to bring their son home after he was attacked in London this month. The attack left him with a fractured pelvis, dislocated hip and fractured knee and ankle on his right leg and a broken left heel. His brother, Kent Perry, who now lives in Auckland, said the family were waiting for Joel to be more mobile before he could fly home to their parents' house in Dannevirke for rehabilitation. Kent said Joel's recovery would be a long one because he had injured both legs. His flight home will also need to be paid for and will need to be business class because his leg will need to be elevated.
