In Vellore, Collector S.A. Raman hoisted the tricolour and reviewed the guard of honour at Nethaji Stadium. He honoured freedom fighters, and presented the Chief Minister’s police medals to 35 policemen in recognition of their good work. Mr. Raman handed over welfare assistance worth ₹1.32 crore to 70 beneficiaries on the occasion. She handed over the DG’s disc medal and appreciation letters to NDRF personnel for their hard work in operational duties. He presented welfare assistance to the tune of ₹2.10 crore to 149 beneficiaries.
