It took Ajax to second on the table as the first round concluded, while the Dandelions slipped to third as they lost their second game in as many weeks. Nicole Ruske led Ajax with 25 points, and at the other end it held the Dandelions to six points in the fourth quarter to pull away. The Dandelions again pulled ahead early in the second quarter as Laura Ring scored four consecutive baskets. It leaves Ajax unbeaten since opening night, when it lost to the table-topping South Pac Magic.
