Teachers from Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Technical College also told police they would their three students involved in the brawl to police this week, he said. The daring brawl led to one 16-year-old student being shot in the stomach by a rival’s gun and another gunshot wound in his thigh from his own gun accidentally going off. The initial police probe found that the students from rival colleges were riding their motorcycles when they came upon each other in an intersection. As a short-term solution, Sanit said police have suggested that the colleges prohibit students from riding motorcycles to school and should provide school buses to transport them to and from school. Punishment would be a sentence of up to six months in prison and a Bt60,000 fine as per a National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) order against instigating violence.
