SAPS in Nelson Mandela Bay District arrested four suspects on various charges and confiscated firearms and ammunition after information was received and operationalised on Friday, July 28, in Motherwell. She said the suspects inside the shop immediately responded on arrival by firing shots at the SAPS members, injuring one member in the arm. The members successfully arrested four suspects, and during the search of the premises, another suspect was found dead with a gunshot wound. "Two firearms with ammunition were confiscated, and the four suspects, aged between 19 and 31, were arrested on charges of attempted murder, possession of two illegal firearms and illegal possession of ammunition," said Janse Van Rensburg. "The four suspects will appear in the Motherwell Magistrate's court on Monday, July 31," she added.
