Under the new system that kicked in from Monday, all new public interest litigation matters will be taken up by a bench headed by the CJI. "The roster evolved is certainly not to the satisfaction of the four judges. In any case, the roster was not the only issue raised by the four judges. There are various other issues pertaining to the administration of justice, besides the administrative powers of the CJI as master of the roster," a source told The Telegraph. "Each one of the four judges had raised different issues with the CJI.
