The crash took place around 4am on Wednesday at the district’s Barahipur rail crossing, said Sub-Inspector Abdul Alim of Feni Railway Police Station. A covered van tried to cross the open railroad while the Chittagong-bound Turna Nishith Express arrived in Barahipur from Dhaka, said SI Alim. The covered van skidded off the line as the inter-city train crashed into it. Four people, including the van driver, have died on the soot, according to police. Police rushed the injured people to the Feni Sadar Hospital.
