Share TweetBy Restituto CayubitPALO, Leyte – Four people have died in Eastern Visayas due to dengue in the first 45 days of 2019, according to the Department of Health regional office (DOH-8) here. Roca reported that this year’s number of cases is 25 percent lower compared to the same period last year with 2,249 cases. He added that of the total cases reported, 876 or 52 percent were confirmed dengue based on medical examination, and there were 1,557 or 92 percent hospitalized. Roca further reported that the province with most reported number of cases was Leyte with 813 cases or 48 percent of the total cases reported from January 1 to February 15.
