Share TweetBy Martin SadongdongThe Philippine Army (PA) commemorated on Monday the retaking of Fort William McKinley from the Japanese Imperial Forces by the courageous Hunters Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) in 1945. The Hunters-ROTC was created when young cadets from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) joined the war against the Japanese forces. The retaking of Fort McKinley, then overrun by Japanese forces, began on Feb. 4, 1945. The operation was led by the 47th ROTC Division of the Hunters-ROTC Guerrillas with other Hunters units.
