Four arrested for promising jobs with Ayushman Bharat

Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested four persons in connection with an Ayushman Bharat recruitment scam case from Gurugram. The arrests were made after the National Health Agency (NHA), the implementing agency for the central government health insurance scheme, filed a complaint alleging some people were promising jobs under the scheme. “We started receiving complaints from people, who handed us joining letters they received through speed post of jobs under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna with the authority’s logo, Prime minister’s face and a fake stamp,” said Varun Jhaveri, member, NHA. The suspects allegedly placed an advertisement in local papers and asked applicants, through fake joining letters, to deposit ₹12,500 as training cost. We will pursue the matter and seek harshest punishment under the law so that it acts as a deterrent for others,” said Indu Bhsuhan, CEO, Ayushman Bharat.
