Formula 1 legend announces direct flights from Dublin to Vienna

The Austrian Airline will expand its Vienna base in late October, with routes including Dublin/Vienna flights from €19.99 each-way. Laudamotion will operate its new 'city shuttle' service from October 28, Dublin Airport has confirmed, with an Airbus A320 aircraft. It will compete directly with Aer Lingus, which already operates daily flights on the route. The airline is owned by former Formula 1 racing driver Niki Lauda. This March, Ryanair announced it was taking a 24.9pc stake in the airline - a figure it plans to increase to 75pc subject to approval by the EU Competition Authority.
