A former model who accused Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo of sexually assaulting her is claiming £56million in damages. The alleged rape was said to have taken place in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009 after they met the same night in RAIN nightclub. In 2010 the model accepted £270,000 ($375,000) as an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo and his representatives. As a result, detectives were 'unable to search for and impound vital forensic evidence,' and a video showing Ronaldo and Mayorga together was lost, they added. Ronaldo left Spanish team Real Madrid in 2018 after nine seasons with the club, joining Italian champions Juventus.
