Tokyo SportsA look back at Meiko Satomura’s monumental title win: NXT UK, June 17, 2021After competing in a match for WWE after almost a year, former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura may be all set to retire from WWE permanently. Satomura’s team emerged victorious there. It was her first appearance in a WWE ring, since March 2023 and it was welcomed with cheers by the audience and the WWE Universe alike. Although the NXT UK was later abandoned in 2022, Satomura still had her WWE contract to her name. She has only had sporadic appearances in the ring, ever since winning the NXT UK Championship in June 2021, against Kay Lee Ray(aka Alba Fyre).
