A former senior adviser to President Trump has been arrested and charged with defrauding donors to a campaign supporting the border wall with Mexico. An indictment announced by prosecutors said that Steve Bannon and three associates “orchestrated a scheme to defraud hundreds of thousands of donors in connection with an online crowdfunding campaign”.
