The former TV star appeared at the Blenheim District Court on Monday after being “basically rendered homeless” last month. A former television star has now found suitable accommodation to serve his community detention after being “basically rendered homeless” hours after being sentenced last month. After appearing on his third drink-driving charge, the man was sentenced to four months community detention at Blenheim District Court on April 4. The man then reappeared in court a week later for a sentence review as his lawyer Rob Harrison said his client had been “basically rendered homeless” and was unable to serve out this community detention. Jude David Ruth then reimposed the four months community detention with a daily curfew of 9pm-6am.
