Former Royal Gold director slapped with four charges over crimes amounting to RM1.18mil - Nation


PETALING JAYA: A former Royal Gold investment company director claimed trial at a Sessions Court here to two counts of illegal deposit taking amounting to RM516,700 and two counts of dishonest misappropriation amounting to RM666,700. Sessions Court judge Mabel S. Muttiah fixed bail at RM35,000 for both charges in one surety. Magistrate Nurshahira Abdul Salim fixed bail at RM25,000 in one surety. At another magistrate's court, Yap was accused of misappropriating RM446,700, which was obtained from the company's client but used for other purposes. Magistrate Nor Ariffin Hisham fixed bail at RM15,000 in one surety.
