By THOMAS P. CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUNMEREDITH — Rev. Dr. Miller Lovett, who had served as minister of the Laconia Congregational Church and was a Meredith selectman for seven years, has died. Outside the Lakes Region, he did research into community economic development around the world and volunteered in the first Habitat for Humanity project in South America. He spent many years teaching accounting at the college level and was professor emeritus at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home of Laconia, which is handling arrangements, will have further details.
