Miffed by the constant attacks on the Middle Belt by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, the Middle Belt Youth Forum (MBF) has told President Muhammadu Buhari to forget about the region’s support in 2019 if his government could not arrest the leaders of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) over their statements on Benue killings. The Middle Belt Youth Forum, in a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Pius Attah and the Secretary, Hon. He alleged, “the present killings in the Middle Belt have clearly shown that the people are not safe under President Buhari’s administration,” adding that the president’s statements and those of people around him had not proved otherwise. The youth forum, therefore, called on the United Nations and other international pressure groups to come to the aid of the zone before the killings engulfed the whole country. He said the people were harmless and peace-loving abhorred violence in any form.
