File photo of Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq Dhaka Tribune253 judges have already completed their training in Sydney, AustraliaThe present government—as part of its goal to establish a modern and strong judiciary—is arranging foreign training for all lower court judges, in phases. “We have arranged the training, in phases, for all lower court judges at the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal, India; and already, 315 judges have completed their training there,” Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said on Friday. The minister said increasing the efficiency of the lower court judges is connected with the trial process and decreasing the delays in disposing cases. “Thirty judges have received training in Japan, funded by JICA, and 20 judges have completed their training in China. “We will provide better training at home and abroad, to more judges—in phases—in the future,” the law minister said.
