Ford was warned of ‘danger to life’ if programs slashed, May 16It should be obvious that one of the main reasons for Premier Doug Ford scaling back the planned humongous cuts to social services, education and more is the fact this is a federal election year, and implementing those cuts now would have mitigated the likelihood of many Ontarians voting Conservative federally this fall. Once the federal election is over and there’s no longer anything political at stake, you can bet those planned cuts will be implemented next year. Any Ontarians considering voting Conservative this fall should give their heads a shake. Rebecca Tomasone, Toronto
