PITTSBURGH (Sept. 12, 2023) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds striker Albert Dikwa and midfielder Kenardo Forbes both were named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 27, the league announced this afternoon. It is the third Team of the Week honor (along with three bench selections) this season for Dikwa, who was runner-up in voting for USL Championship Player of the Week behind Tampa Bay’s Cal Jennings. Forbes earned his Team of the Week place with a performance that began with an incisive through ball to set up Dikwa’s opening goal and record his seventh assist of the season, one off the league lead. It is the second Team of the Week honor this season for Forbes, who extends assists records to 51 with the Riverhounds (all competitions) and 62 in the USL Championship regular season.
