The Green Run, a non-competitive group run organised by non-governmental organisation 360 Degree in association with Indian Medical Association(IMA), will be held in the city on October 15, to create awareness on rising noise levels and air pollution during the festive occasion. Speaking over phone, Gautham Raveendran, founder and president of 360 Degree, says,“We have been conducting charitable and environmental awareness activities for some time now. The proceeds from the run, Gautham says, will be utilised for three different socially relevant initiatives. Green Community Initiative aims at collaborating with educational institutions across the city to build vertical gardens in their compounds. On Sunday, the run will start at 7 am from Kowdiar junction and end at Museum.
