According to an officer involved with the rescue operation, the woman was found in the room without clothes. She was kept in a room with no electricity while the rest of the house was occupied by her brother's family. The rescued woman was sent for medical examination and then admitted to the Panaji-based Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour. The police will also record the statements of the rescued woman's family members.
