The incident occurred in Hasimpur village of Mithamain upazila on Saturday. The deceased, Deen Islam, 45, son of Mafiz Mia of Hasimpur village, was a farmer. Mithamain police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zakir Hossain Rabbani said: "An altercation broke out between two groups of footballers when some water was splashed on a female guest. The injured were also admitted to hospital.”Additional law enforcement officers have been deployed to prevent further unwanted situation, the OC added.
