The Criminal Investigation Department, Al-Amssad branch, foiled an illegal migration attempt to Greece originating from the Bir Al-Ashhab area and seized a marine boat that was intended to be used in the operation. Officers of the branch detained 76 migrants from Egypt, Bangladesh, and Sudan, in addition to arresting the individuals involved in the smuggling operation, according to a statement published by the department on its Facebook page. The migrants were transferred to the branch headquarters, where a report was filed on the incident, and they were provided with the necessary health and humanitarian care in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
