The Spanish Embassy in Libya has announced the opening of a Schengen visa application center for Spain in the city of Benghazi, in the presence of the Consul General. According to a statement published by the embassy on its Facebook page, the new center will facilitate access to visa services for Libyan citizens residing in eastern Libya, similar to the services provided by the Tripoli center since November 2023. The embassy also confirmed that visa applications in Benghazi will be processed through a center operated by BLS, which mirrors the center currently operating in Tripoli and has processed more than 8,000 visas to date, adding that both centers will begin processing national visa applications starting next February, a step expected to improve services for all Libyan citizens.
