A fog advisory previously in effect for Toronto and the GTA has been lifted, Environment Canada says. The alert came at 3:52 a.m. as dense fog formed overnight, with near-zero visibility at some points. In situations of heavy fog, Environment Canada recommends drivers turn on their car lights and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 10 C with a 70 per cent chance of showers. In the evening temperatures will dip to 6 C. The average temperature is around 3 C.
