And staff are concerned that an especially bad flu season could see the department swamped. Especially if New Zealand is hit with the same deadly flu strain A (H3N2) that killed hundreds in the northern hemisphere. "If we have 100 patients in the Emergency Department and it can really only fit 60, that's going to be a tough day.
