Two young children were rescued from the roof of a building after their hallucinating mother dragged them onto the second-story ledge. Sgt Mike Debree and Sgt Brian Griffith went into the home and made their way up to the ledge through a second-story window. The officers were finally able walk the crying children several feet along the ledge to the window of an adjoining townhouse, where they were pulled to safety. The mother, who has remained anonymous to protect the identity of her children, has been committed to a mental health facility. She may ultimately face criminal charges once released after Florida's Department of Children and Families conducts a comprehensive investigation.
