A 66-year-old Florida ice cream man, so trusted parents often sent their children to buy sweets directly from his back door, was arrested Sunday night for allegedly molesting a 7-year-old girl, The Bradenton Herald reported. He owns an ice cream cart in his Bradenton neighborhood and had become a well-known face in the cul-de-sac. According to the detective’s report, Salinas sold both children ice cream and then told the boy to go play outside with his friends. He then brought the young girl to his bedroom, locked the door, and sexually assaulted her, officials said. Salinas allegedly changed his version of the incident many times, initially stating the young girl locked the door to prevent her brother from entering.
