State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna today stated that strict action will be taken against the online selling of carpets with the Sri Lankan flag printed on them. He told The Morning that they had already informed the Foreign Ministry about the online sale of such products and are awaiting to take action against them. “It would be much appreciated if appropriate actions are taken immediately to stop using the Sri Lankan National Flag on floor mats,” a letter sent by the State Ministry to the Foreign Ministry stated. The complaint has been made regarding the online sale of floor mats with the Sri Lankan flag which was sold on Amazon for $12.
