The commission said 117 flood control projects were implemented, but only 53 projects of the 170 programmed flood control projects for 2018 were completed. The 53 projects completed cost P273.54 million. The delay in the conduct of necessary procurement activities for these flood control projects may also cause reversion to theNational Treasury of unutilized cash allocation at the end of the year. CoA noted that 22 flood control projects amounting to P143.26 million “were not finished within the specific contract time or required completion date.”Also, it said 50 flood control projects worth P381.388 million had been awarded, but had not been started as of Dec. 31, 2018.
