MANILA, Philippines — The team that finished first in the elims is the first to make the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals. Borrowing a page from their opponent’s never-say-die playbook, the top-seeded TNT KaTropa rallied from nine points down and delivered a strong finishing kick to take out Barangay Ginebra, 103-92, and make themselves contenders for the throne they forced the Gin Kings to vacate last night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Terrence Jones, RR Pogoy and Bryan Heruela presided over a searing third-quarter assault that completed their turnaround from a 58-67 deficit into an 86-79 upperhand. The scores:TNT 103 – Jones 24, Rosario 22, Castro 20, Pogoy 14, Heruela 9, Reyes 6, Trollano 6, Taha 2, Washington 0. Ginebra 92 – Brownlee 27, Aguilar 27, Pringle 15, Devance 13, Tenorio 5, Thompson 3, Caguioa 2, Slaughter 0.
