Flood at Penang Hospital subsided - Health Minister


ALOR STAR: The flood that hit Penang Hospital this morning has receded and cleaning up process is underway at the affected wards including the neo-natal room. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said water which inundated the ground floor of the hospital subsided this afternoon. “After the clean-up, we will check the electrical system and machinery to see if they are affected by the flood. Subramaniam said 104 patients in Penang Hospital were moved to safer wards when the flood hit and no serious health cases had occurred so far. On the LRBC, Subramaniam said the ministry hoped to open such facility at more hospitals nationwide.
