However, with today’s December report, job growth appears to have stalled for now. That’s almost all due to a soft leisure and hospitality sector seeing major job losses in December. It matters too that the hospitality sector provides disproportionate part-time employment and many jobs to less skilled workers. Additionally, the leisure sector is a major employer. However, today’s December unemployment report is a reminder that the U.S. economy still has a way to go, especially in the leisure and hospitality sector.
